Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

Success in this role requires solid programming/troubleshooting skills (one or more programming languages - go-lang, python, typescript or javascript), solid computer science fundamentals. You should be comfortable working by yourself and collaborate with other managers across teams.

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

As a new member of the cloud management team:

• Work with the team, other managers and product management to review and refine delivery requirements
• Write technical design documents and hold reviews
• Participate, lead in all team scrum ceremonies
• Be responsible to develop and maintain software that delivers on the team’s objectives primarily in typescript, python and terraform, and, infrequently, in Ruby or Golang
• Deploy microservices to Kubernetes using Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) systems
• Communicate with consumers of the team’s software and gather requirements and facilitate adoption of your solutions

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

This position reports to the director of the CORE CM team. You will initially lead an established team that has a wide range of core platform responsibilities, but the expectation is that you will help blaze a new trail for the team and organization in the area of secrets management which includes front-end or back-end micro services, public cloud account management. This is a great opportunity for someone who likes to start new things, be on the fore front of technology and put their mark on a team, company and industry.
